Membership Terms & Conditions

By purchasing, renewing, or using a membership with Tarneit Table Tennis, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by the following Terms & Conditions.

1. Membership Requirement

1.1 All playing members of Tarneit Table Tennis are required to hold:

  • current Annual Membership with Table Tennis Victoria (TTV) and Table Tennis Australia (TTA); and

  • A valid Club Membership with Tarneit Table Tennis.

1.2 Club participation, facility access, and membership benefits are not permitted without a valid annual TTV & TTA registration.

2. Club Membership Term

2.1 Club Memberships operate on a monthly basis unless otherwise specified.

2.2 Membership benefits apply only during the active membership period.

2.3 No carry forward applies. Any unused benefits, sessions, table bookings, or entitlements expire at the end of each membership month.

2.4 No refunds, credits, pauses, or extensions will be granted for:

  • Non-attendance

  • Personal circumstances

  • Failure to utilise club facilities

3. Table Bookings

3.1 All table bookings must be made strictly online through the club’s official booking system.

3.2 Table bookings are subject to availability and are not guaranteed, even for members.

3.3 Booking limits (including daily or monthly caps) apply and must be adhered to.

3.4 The club reserves the right to:

  • Modify booking availability

  • Cancel or reallocate bookings due to competitions, events, maintenance, or operational requirements

4. Fair Use Policy

4.1 Membership benefits are provided under a fair use policy to ensure equitable access for all members.

4.2 Abuse of booking privileges, repeated no-shows, or misuse of facilities may result in:

  • Temporary suspension of booking access

  • Termination of membership without refund

5. Guest Policy

5.1 Guests may only enter and use the facilities when accompanied by a current member.

5.2 Members may bring one (1) guest per visit. A guest fee of $10 per visit applies unless otherwise advertised.

5.3 Where a member is using their free table booking entitlement, it applies only to:

  • the member’s booking, and

  • up to one (1) guest (with the $10 guest fee paid).

If additional non-members/guests join (i.e., more than one guest, or multiple non-members), the booking must be made at the standard casual table booking rate of $15 per hour, and the free booking entitlement does not apply for that session.

5.4 The Club reserves the right to restrict guest access during peak times or special events.

6. Annual Membership (TTV & TTA)

6.1 The Annual Membership fee payable to Table Tennis Victoria (TTV) and Table Tennis Australia (TTA) is mandatory for all playing members.

6.2 Annual registration fees are:

  • Separate from club membership fees

  • Non-refundable

  • Governed by TTV and TTA policies

6.3 Club Memberships cannot be activated or continued without a valid annual registration.

7. Refunds & Cancellations

7.1 Club Membership fees are non-refundable, except where required under Australian Consumer Law.

7.2 No refunds or credits will be issued for:

  • Partial use of a membership period

  • Missed sessions or bookings

  • Changes in personal availability

8. Code of Conduct

8.1 Members are expected to:

  • Act respectfully toward staff, coaches, volunteers, and fellow members

  • Follow all club rules, safety requirements, and venue policies

8.2 Tarneit Table Tennis reserves the right to suspend or terminate membership for:

  • Misconduct

  • Unsafe behaviour

  • Breaches of these Terms & Conditions

9. Changes to Membership & Terms

9.1 Tarneit Table Tennis reserves the right to:

  • Amend membership pricing, benefits, or structure

  • Update these Terms & Conditions at any time

9.2 Updated terms will be published on the club website and take effect immediately upon publication.

10. Risk & Liability

10.1 Participation in table tennis activities is undertaken at the member’s own risk.

10.2 To the maximum extent permitted by law, Tarneit Table Tennis is not liable for:

  • Personal injury

  • Loss, theft, or damage to personal property

10.3 Where liability cannot be excluded under Australian Consumer Law, it is limited to the minimum extent permitted.

 

11. Governing Law

11.1 These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia.
